How to uninstall the Tour App

IMPORTANT — read this first

If you’re currently viewing the tour and don’t see a browser address bar, you’re in the installed app.
You can’t uninstall from inside the app.
Close the app window first, then follow the steps below for your device.

Windows 10 / 11 (installed via Edge or Chrome)

Option A — Uninstall from Windows Settings (recommended)

1. Close the Tour App window.

2. Open Settings → Apps → Installed apps (or Apps & features).

3. Search for 48th Highlanders Museum Online.

4. Click Uninstall and confirm.

Option B — Uninstall from Edge (if installed using Edge)

1. Open Microsoft Edge (regular browser window).

2. Go to edge://apps.

3. Find 48th Highlanders Museum Online.

4. Click Remove.

Optional cleanup:
After uninstalling, you may also want to remove any leftover:

• Taskbar pin (right-click → Unpin)

• Start menu tile (right-click → Unpin)

• Desktop shortcut (delete)

Mac (Safari, Chrome, or Edge)

1. Close the Tour App.

2. Open Finder → Applications.

3. Find the Tour App.

4. Drag it to the Trash.

iPhone / iPad (Safari “Add to Home Screen”)

1. Find the Tour App icon on your Home Screen.

2. Press and hold the icon.

3. Tap Remove App → Delete App.

Android (Chrome or Edge)

1. Find the Tour App icon on your Home Screen or in the App drawer.

2. Press and hold the icon.

3. Tap Uninstall.

If you see “Remove” instead of “Uninstall”, it was only a shortcut — removing it is sufficient.

One last tip

If you don’t see browser controls, you’re still in the app.
Close the app first, then uninstall.
