Drum Major, 48th Highlanders of Canada (1997-2020)

Chris Reesor started studying the Drums at age four and started marching in bands at age seven with the 9th Toronto Boys’ Brigade Band. He joined the 48th Military Band as a volunteer in 1988. After completing six years with the Fort Henry Guard in Kingston, Chris decided to join the Regiment and was sworn in 13-Nov-1990.   Intrigued with the pipe band style of drumming, he played regularly with both bands. He was appointed Master Corporal (MCpl) in April, 1997, and officially appointed the Regimental Drum Major in September of the same year. In May 2003, Chris was promoted to Warrant Officer and in 2018 to Master Warrant Officer (MWO). On 16-Oct-2020 he was promoted to Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) and appointed Regimental Sergeant Major of the 48th Highlanders of Canada.
