Pte Hughes, Calvin – 134th Battalion

800114 Pte Calvin Hughes attested to the 134th Battalion in 1915, trained at Camp Niagara-on-the-Lake earning his Certificate of Military Instruction which qualified him for the rank of Corporal. He sailed to England with the 134th Battalion in 1916 and was later assigned to the 4th Battalion in France. He received a gunshot wound to the thigh during the “Last Hundred Days” of the war in 1918.
