Pte BLACK, G.

192722 Private George Black was a 27 year old moulder originally from Edibburgh, Scotland when he attested into the 92nd Battalion in Toronto on August 20, 1915. He was taken on strength of the 15th Battalion ‘in the field’ in Belgium in March 1916 and posted to No. 1 Company. Private Black’s time with the 15th would unfortunately be brief as he suffered shrapnel wounds to the stomach and died at No. 2 Canadian Field Ambulance on April 29, 1916. He is buried in Vlamertinghe Military Cemetery.
