NOK: Son of Sarah F. Smith (formerly Barnard), of Apartment 5, 45, Berrlamond Avenue, Toronto, and the late John M. Barnard. One of the first American volunteers to join the Canadian Army in Aug.,1914. His family resided in Wellfleet, Massachusetts, USA and he has a gravestone there.
