HCol Carolyn Alexandra (Sasha) Darling

Sasha was born in Toronto in 1968.  She attended high school at Branksome Hall and graduated with an Undergraduate Degree from University of Toronto.

Initially working for an investment counselling firm, Sasha joined the stock transfers and corporate trust department of a major trust company. Deciding to engage more closely with individuals and families, Sasha joined an advisory team at a national financial planning firm in the mid-nineties, advising private clients starting in 1997. She moved to ScotiaMcLeod in 2002 and is a Senior Wealth Advisor at ScotiaMcLeod with her team, The Corolis Darling Advisory Group.

Prior community roles include having acted as Police Liaison for the Board of the North Rosedale Residents’ Association, Committee Member of the 100 Campaign in support of the Casey House Capital Campaign, a member of the LGBT+ Advisory Group at Scotiabank and a member of the Board of Governors at Branksome Hall, where she is also a Past President of the Parents’ Association.  Sasha was appointed as a member of Regimental Senate in 2017, with subsequent appointments as a Trustee and Secretary Treasurer of the 48th Highlanders Trusts. In December, 2020, she became Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel of the Regiment and was promoted to Honorary Colonel in December, 2024. Sasha is the first woman appointed into these positions within the Regiment, and is a 4th generation Highlander and 3rd generation Honorary Colonel of the 48th Highlanders of Canada. Sasha also represents the Regiment on 32 CBG’s Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Advisory Board to assist in providing guidance in order to enhance inclusivity.

Sasha and her partner enjoy time with their daughters and their fur family.
