Captain Raymond Joseph was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. He began his career in the Canadian Armed Forces as a Private in 1984 with the Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment) of Canada, he later joined the Regular Force where he served for over 25 years in Royal 22nd Regiment, Canadian Airborne Regiment and Royal Canadian Regiment where he steadily rose through the ranks. In 2008 he transferred to the Army Reserve and in 2010 he was promoted to Chief Warrant Officer and was appointed Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM) 48th Highlanders of Canada. Upon completion of the appointment, he commissioned to the rank of Captain serving in a variety of roles at the Unit, Brigade, Division and Infantry School.

He served 5-years as an aide-de-camp to two Lieutenant Governors of Ontario.

During his career, Captain Joseph served in a variety of expeditionary operations which include Operation Harmony in the Former Yugoslavia in 1992 with the United Nations Peacekeeping Force, during which he participated in the operation to reopen the Sarajevo Airport, Operation Deliverance in Somalia in 1993, Operation Palladium in the Former-Yugoslavia in 1998 and 2001, Operations Athena and Archer in Afghanistan on multiple tours between 2005 and 2008. Captain Joseph completed numerous leadership and specialty courses that include Basic Parachutist, Military Free Parachutist, Advanced Reconnaissance, Patrol Pathfinder to name a few. He applied these skills on numerous domestic and multinational exercises and as an instructor.

Since 2008, Captain Joseph has had a successful civilian career. Founding his own company Crow Global Inc., a specialized security and training solutions firm. Then as Operations Manager for Digital Transformation at Barrick Gold Corporation followed by s position as Business Director at Spartan Race Canada. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Qohash. Captain Joseph remains an active leader in the veteran community by organizing high-profile events such as the Veterans on Bay Street, the True Patriot Love (TPL) Expedition to Everest, and collaborations with the Invictus Games. He is currently the President of the Toronto Black Watch Association (TBWA) and Vice President of both The Royal Canadian Regiment Association (Toronto Branch), Canadian Airborne Forces Association and Board Member of the Treble Victor Group (Toronto Branch).
