Website Design and Elementor Site Settings
The Museum website’s design standards are controlled through Elementor Site Settings. These settings are the authoritative source for the site’s global colours, typography, links, buttons and related design defaults.
Use global settings
When creating or substantially restyling Elementor content, use the site’s global colours and typography rather than entering local colour codes, fonts or sizes unless there is a specific design reason to override the global setting.
This keeps the site visually consistent and allows a future change to be made centrally rather than page by page.
Where to check the current design
Open Elementor’s Site Settings to review the current global colours, typography, buttons and other design defaults. The live Elementor settings take precedence over older examples or copied page styles.
Retired style-reference pages
The site previously contained separate style-sheet/sample pages showing colours, fonts and button treatments. Those pages were retired during the webmaster handover because they duplicated Elementor Site Settings and had begun to drift out of date. Do not recreate a separate manual style sheet unless there is a clear requirement that cannot be met by Elementor’s global settings.
