World War 1 Kilt apron (Replica)

WWI khaki Kilt apron – replica made for reenactment uniform of WWI Canadian Infantry soldier. Worn over a kilt to protect the kilt. Straps at top edge to tie around waist. Pocket in front centre of apron. This apron covers only the front and sides of the kilt and was designed for light duty. Full wrap kilt aprons were used in the trenches. Highland regiments were entitled to wear the kilt in battle during WWI. Trousers and shorts as an option were allowed in late 1915.
