It is believed that this statuette of Lt. Col. Bent was presented to him at a reunion of the 15th Battalion (48th Highlanders) held after WWI, on the weekend starting 9 November 1929, marking the 10th anniversary of the end of the war.. It reflects the high esteem that the Highlanders in the 15th Battalion held for their “Little Colonel”.
