The second in command of the Pipes and Drums carries the Commanding Officer’s banner. The Pipe Major carries a special pipe banner “The Regimental Banner” which displays on each side the Monarch’s and Regimental Colours. On the obverse side of all all of these banners the Regimental Badge is displayed on a field of Royal Blue. On the reverse the personal arms of the Officer is displayed. When not on parade Pipe Banners are hung in the Officer’s Mess.

This Pipe Banner was in service from 1959 to 1991.
