Pte. Thomas Moore – Life Member Certificate

A yellowed document, likely paper, in a  black, wood picture frame given to Pte. Thomas Moore that certifies him being made a Life Member of the Canadian Veterans Association of United Kingdom. The document has printed on it a red flower pattern rectangular-border around the full length and width of the document and features the seal of the association at the top, which is a shield shape with a beaver on top of the shield and a maple leaf in the middle with the text running all across the sides of the shield reading: “CANADIAN VETERANS ASSOCIATION UK”.

The text printed on the document from top to bottom reads: “Canadian Veterans Association   of   United Kingdom    This is to Certify   that   T. MOORE   has been made a Life Member of the above Association in recognition of his long and meritorious service.   ………..   President   ………   National Secretary   Date ………”. On the dotted lines above the words President and National Secretary are handwritten ink signatures done with pen, and on the dotted lines next to the word Date is handwritten with ink the date of “19th March 1964.”

On the back of the frame are two eye bolts near the top of the frame on the left and right sides with a keyring inserted into each and a metal wire running across the width of the frame and through the keyrings for hanging the photo frame. Near the bottom centre of the back of the frame is attached a yellowed sticker with information of the maker printed on it featuring the maker’s name, address, and products and services sold, along with a logo of the “FINE ART TRADE GUILD” that the maker is a member of. The text reading from top to bottom are: “E.
