Pte Dean, George Kay, drummer with 201st Bn in Borden

Framed panoramic photo of the 201st Battalion in Camp Borden in June 1916. 228516 Pte Dean, George Kay is a drummer in the band to the left of the photo and is looking over the shoulder of the lead drummer in the rank on the left. Note the bell tents in the background which were used by the soldiers during their training.

Pte Dean joined the 15th Battalion on 03 May 1917 and was wounded twice, 30 June 1917 and 17 August 1917.
