LCol A.A. Miller – Basket Hilt Padded Liner

Padded liner for the inside of basket guard of a Scottish style basket-hilted sword, or claymore in Canada, made of a red fabric sewn on top of soft leather with holes on top and bottom for connecting to the hilt and blade, and similar rounded shape as the basket hilt. Inside the liner near the top is written with black ink large letter reading “T.”, with the dot.

This style of claymore with red padded liner was issued to all officers in the 48th Highlanders.
