Here Comes the Mighty 48th – Music Album Vinyl

Vinyl record disc in wax cardboard sleeve of music album with text printed on front in large font and gold colour reading from top to bottom: “HERE COMES THE MIGHTY 48TH     TWENTY-FIVE GREAT PARADE FAVORITES THE PIPES AND DRUMS OF THE 48TH HIGHLANDERS OF CANADA”. In between the title and subtitle is a colour image printed of the 48th Highlanders pipes and drum band in full dress. In the top right of the front of the sleeve is the logo and name of the publisher: “COLUMBIA”.

On the back of the sleeve is the history of the 48th Highlanders, with a focus on the regiment’s pipes and drums band, from the founding of the regiment to the mid-1950’s, which also dates the item as likely from then. A set of short biographies also printed on the back of the Pipe Major A. Dewar, C.D. and Drum Major W. Elms. Also printed on the back of the sleeve in two sections are the list of songs on the record, split on two sides of the disc:
