Pte. Wilfred Truman Neely was killed in action at Vimy Ridge on 9 April 1917. His name is stenciled on the 15th Battalion (48th Highlanders) cross erected on Vimy Ridge the night of 10/11 April. The Vimy Cross is now in the 48th Highlanders Museum.
