48th Youth Training Corps Cap Badge

A 2.25-inch diameter possibly stamped tin badge with five diamonds on the bottom YTC attached under the main emblem.

During World War II, the “Youth Training Corps” was the fore runner to the “Toronto Rotary Highlanders”, a battalion-size military cadet corps affiliated with the famous 48th Highlanders Regiment. The corps, which trained some 5,000 young boys for eventual active service, was entirely officered by Rotarians who were 48th Highlanders.
