Working on replica of monument. The monument was a duplicate of the regiment’s War Memorial at the head of Queen’s Park Circle and was central to one of the closing events. The tattoo was held for two consecutive nights to sell out crowds at Maple Leaf Gardens with proceeds going to the Cancer Society. The tattoo featured music from the 48th Highlanders Pipes and Drums and the Military Band with 48th Highlanders troops engaged in military competitions interspersed between music. Cadets from St Andrew’s College and from Royal Military College participated in the events. Jack Dennett of CFRB narrated and the Guest of Honour was the Lt. Governor of Ontario.
