48th group in Period Uniforms-1960s

1891- WWII uniforms. These uniforms are worn at Remembrance Day parade to the 48th Highlanders War Memorial at the head of Queen’s Park Circle and at the War Memorial at Old City Hall in Toronto. The photo was taken at 519 Church Street in the Old Comrades Association Memorial Hall. Lt. Monty Currie is in the centre in Blue Patrols.

From left to right: Second World War, 1892 Scarlet full dress, First World War; Officer in Blue Patrol No 2. Dress, 1892 Undress, 1892 Undress, 1892 Scarlet Full Dress. Scarlet Full Dress is still worn by the regiment at ceremonial parades such as Remembrance Day. Officers continue to wear Blue Patrols if not in Full Dress. Undress, nicknamed “White shell” is worn today by the Old Comrades Drill Team when on parade.
