Technical features and performance
Unlike traditional App Store downloads that can take up hundreds of megabytes, our Web App is highly efficient. It typically uses less than 1% of the storage space required by a standard app—roughly the size of a single high-resolution photo.
The app uses your phone’s existing browser technology. This means no “background hogging” of your device’s memory (RAM) and no heavy files slowing down your phone.
The app is designed to be “intelligent.” It only stores the specific pages and images you visit frequently so they load instantly next time, while automatically clearing out old temporary data to keep your storage clean.
Built with “Service Worker” technology, the app caches vital information as you browse. This allows you to access previously viewed uniform components and historical data even when you have a weak signal or are browsing offline in the museum galleries.
You never have to visit an App Store to “Update.” Every time you open the app, it silently checks for the latest historical research and images, ensuring you always have the most current information without any manual effort.
Because it runs through your secure mobile browser, the app adheres to strict privacy standards. It does not require invasive “permissions” to access your contacts, camera, or personal files.
